Activating your service

Your Spain mobile phone number is displayed on the back of your SIM card package. The number will start with 6.

To activate your service:

  1. Travel to Spain.
  2. Be sure that the battery is adequately charged.
  3. Insert the SIM card into your GSM phone*.
  4. Turn your phone on.
  5. Enter PIN code^
  6. Start calling.

* You will need to snap out the thumbnail sized SIM card along the perforated edge of its holder and then insert the SIM card into your international mobile phone with the gold contacts of the SIM card facing the metal contacts of your mobile phone.

^Your Spain SIM card requires a 4 digit PIN code. The PUK is only required to unblock your phone if you enter a PIN code incorrectly 3 times. Follow your cell phone manual instructions to correctly use the PUK to unblock your phone.

Making and receiving calls

How to make a call

To make an international call from your Spain mobile phone dial 00 (or +), followed by the country code (1 for the US), area code and phone number.

How family and friends call you

Family and friends need to dial the international prefix, the country code 34 and your mobile phone number.
For example, when calling from the United States, callers need to dial 011 34 and then your mobile phone number.

Recharging your account

Your Spain SIM card comes with 5 EUR (approx. US$7.38) of initial credit.

To add credit to your Spain SIM card, you will need to purchase recharge vouchers, also called recharge cards. You will find recharge vouchers at convenience stores, petrol stations, Vodafone shops and authorized dealers in Spain.

To recharge your account:

  1. Purchase a Lebara recharge voucher.
  2. Scratch off the grey protective layer to reveal your recharge voucher code.
  3. Follow the instructions printer on your recharge voucher
  4. Start calling.

To check your current balance:

  1. Dial 2224 and listen to the voice prompts

Do not purchase another Spain SIM card when your credit is depleted! You only need a recharge voucher!

Contacting Customer Service

Customer service for your Spain SIM can be reached by dialing 2222 from your Spain mobile phone or dialing 901 810 810 from any other phone.

Service life

Your SIM card will be deactivated after 2 months of you not using your service.

You then have a further 1 month in which you can reactivate your SIM card.

Failure to do so will result in a permanent deactivation and recycling of your SIM card.

In order to continue using your Spain service, you will need to purchase another SIM card.
